Benjamin Bondonneau (clarinet), Fabrice Charles (trombone)
Wilfried Deurre (vocals on "La Roque Gageac")
A double record gathering clarinettist Benjamin Bondonneau and trombonist Fabrice Charles around the exploration of the sound landscapes of Dordogne. The history and itinerary of the Dordogne river, from its source (Puy de Sancy) to the estuary in which it merges with the Gironde river, gave these two local improvisers the will to literally play with the river, considering it as a third musician. Ten pieces were then created, totally recorded in-situ without added effects : a genuine sound portrait... "The musicians become part of the landscape, becomede transparent, in harmony with this environment where, as an amazing tour-de-force, they manage to turn the landscape into music. A pure accomplishment, recorded in-situ in 2006." (Metamkine)
